One way that misconceptions, stereotypes, and inaccurate representations can be avoided is through the mingling of different generations. Jonathan Burton explores this idea, noting psychologist Ken Dychtwald’s claim that if young and old associated with each other more, ageism would not be so prevalent in advertising and the mass media.
