The Alzheimer’s Association (AA) is one of the first essential stops on the journey with dementia. Not only does it provide up-to-date information on Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias, but it also offers resources for caregivers, including a caregiver hotline.
This page, called What is Dementia?, addresses important questions one might have at the onset of dementia. AA clarifies what the term means, as well as offers tools for learning the early signs and e-courses to become more knowledgeable on the various forms of dementia. It also encourages recently diagnosed individuals, loved ones, and caregivers to get support through one of the several resources and programs they have available.
